From October 27th to 29th, 2010, the "China Shipbuilding High-efficiency Welding Equipment Technology Exchange Conference" was grandly held in Dalian. The meeting was hosted by China Shipbuilding Industry Association and undertaken by Wuxi Hualian Technology Group Co., Ltd. Nearly 200 leaders and experts from China Shipbuilding Industry Association, China Welding Association, government science and technology departments, and major domestic shipbuilding companies attended the meeting.

On the basis of analyzing the development of my country's shipbuilding industry, Mr. Shi Dianmin, the vice chairman of China Shipbuilding Industry Association, put forward new ideas for efficient shipbuilding welding equipment, and put forward new requirements for the localization of related equipment. Secretary-General Wang Linshu of the China Welding Association gave a keynote report entitled "Prospects for the Application of Efficient Welding in the Shipbuilding Industry".

At the meeting, welding experts from large shipbuilding companies such as Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Group, Jiangnan Changxing Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Qingdao Wuchuan, Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. The use of the company has made a targeted analysis of the product technology, performance, and comprehensive benefits of domestic and imported foreign equipment, and clarified the development advantages of localized equipment in the entire shipbuilding industry. In particular, the practicability of the localized "FCB flat segmented production line, T-shaped assembly welding production line, and component assembly welding production line" represented by Wuxi Hualian Technology Group was greatly affirmed.

On the basis of fully summarizing the development of high-efficiency welding technology for ships in my country, the meeting put forward higher requirements for the development of diversified high-efficiency shipbuilding welding technology, cooperating with high-precision shipbuilding, and the development of high-tech welding applications. At the same time, from the perspective of the difficult development of previous enterprises, the major shipbuilding enterprises have proposed that the development of my country's shipbuilding industry must adhere to the development of my country's independent high-efficiency ship welding technology to support the sustainable development of the entire industry.
